Pre-requisites

Pre-requisites are some of the software that you would need to install on the machines at your locations to make the most out of your InfoSignz Digital Signage Platform. The software are mostly free and easily available

 

Download

 
Firefox full screen plug-in - download this plug-in if you are using a Firefox browser to run your locations. This plug-in allows InfoSignz to open up the viewer window without the title bar, thereby maximizing the viewing area for your screen. This software is free
Flash Player 9 - this is a free software that is a prerequisite to run rich multimedia content available from Adobe. This software is free
JRE (5.0) - this is required if you are using the InfoSignz Offline Viewer. This is a free software available from Sun Microsystems.
 
 

Requirememnt

 
Minimum Hardware Requirements - the hardware requirements for the viewer are minimal. All we need is a basic computer that will run your internet browser well. Still, to be specific, please read on

The following are the hardware requirements for the viewer

    •  A screen – any size, any make, any type (LCD, CRT, Plasma)
    •  A basic computer with the following configuration
    •  Intel Celeron 1GHz or above and similar processors
    •  Graphics card with 128 MB on card video memory
    •  512 MB of RAM or more
    •  20GB of free hard drive space
    •  Ethernet connectivity to connect to Internet
Minimum Software Requirements - the following is the software that will be required on the viewer machines You can run your viewer on two operating systems – Windows and Linux

The requirements for each are as below

    •  Windows
    •  Microsoft Windows XP home or above
    •  Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0+ or Firefox 2.0+
    •  Adobe Flash 9.0 or above
    •  Linux
    •  Fedora 7.0 or above
    •  Firefox 2.0+
    •  Adobe Flash 9.0 or above

Support for other versions of Linux will be coming soon
 
 

Settings

 
Publish in full screen for Microsoft Internet Explorer - Please follow these steps:

  1.  Click "Tools" from tool bar & Select "Internet Options" from Menu. This will open a pop up windows.
 
  2.  Go to "Security" Tab & click on "Custom Level" button.
 
  3.  Go to "Miscellaneous Section" & "Enable" following options:
   
  Allow website to open windows without address or status bar (for IE 7.0 only)
  Allow Scripting of Internet web browser control
  Allow Script initiated windows without size or position constraints
Publish in full screen for Mozilla (Firefox) - Please install Firefox plugin by clicking here or from download section at top to Publish in full screen mode.
Move away cursor from the published screen - Please drag cursor to right bottom of the screen so that it wont be visible.
What happens in case of reboot - To automatically replay the last playlist after reboot follow these steps:

  1.  Click "Start" button of windows & click "All Programs" from the menu bar. This will open a sub menu for "All Programs".
Now right click the "Start Up" from sub menu & click on "Open". This will open a window browser.
 
  2.  Right click in the window & drag cursor to "New" option. This will open sub menu from which select "Shortcut".This will open a wizard.
 
  3.  In the location text box type "http://www.infosignz.com/auto" & click "Next".
 
  4.  Provide name as "InfoSignz" & click "Finish" to complete wizard.

For Internet Explorer [top]

  1. To enable JavaScript in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or Later (for Windows)
    1. Open Internet Explorer
    2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options
    3. On the Security tab, click Internet
    4. Click Custom Level (Figure 1)
    5. Scroll down to Active scripting
    6. Click Enable(or Prompt) (Figure 2)
    7. Click OK
    8. Click Yes
    9. Click OK

For Firefox [top]

  1. To enable JavaScript in Firefox 2.xx series.
    1. Open Firefox
    2. On the Tools menu, click Options
    3. Click on the Content icon
    4. Check the box next to Enable JavaScript
    5. Click OK
